How do I explain this book? I can't say that it was scary; it wasn't. I can say that the stories creeped me out. But they really didn't make much sense to me. It was as if each story didn't really end, just stopped. For the most part the stories were kind of interesting, but all were unresolved. This isn't to say it was a terrible book, because it wasn't. I guess it just wasn't: a) what I expected; and b) wasn't the type of stories I completely enjoy. Which is why I could only give it three stars.I'm not saying that it shouldn't be read; I'm sure there are many out there that will enjoy these stories. I just wasn't fond of them. If it were a actual book as opposed to an ebook, I would probably loan it out and not care if it came bace to me. Nor would I read it again. And I'm the type of person that keeps all my books and re-reads them several times over the years.

great stories.the best ones are Feeder,Charlie half head,Island dolls and the title story.I read a lot of short horror books and this one is in my top ten.a lot of graphic ,sick,repulsive stuff but that's what I like
Just plain not that good.
Some of the stories are better than the others but not a bad read overall. The book is well done, not bad for free.
I made myself finish this book because I thought maybe it will get better. It did not. Writing was all over the place with nothing good to say.
weird set of short stories...a lot of variety. some were not my taste but many I enjoyed.
I love a good collection of short stories but this one never did get my full attention.
There was one story out of all that I really enjoyed, the rest just never sunk their teeth in.
Glad I picked this up as a free kindle book.
This was a delightful collection of short stories. So often a short story means the writer ran out of things to say and wrote a quick ending. A good short story will bring you along to the ending and these stories do just that. I recommend this book as a "bridge book" to read after you just completed a fantastic book.
